i too am doing an essay in class at Tarrant County College for this question.

i do think they were terrorists, by the very definition of terrorism from the U.S. government.

what they were fighting for is irrelevent, there has to be two sides to everything in order for there to be right or wrong, or in this case terrorism and no terrorism.

the taliban and al queda (spelling?) are fighting for what they think is freedom and for allah (i'm really not even sure, but i know they're fighting for something THEY THINK IS RIGHT) by rebelling against America and the western world. that's exactly what early American revolutionists were doing against Great Britain.

you can't just say that since their fight was honest and genuine and for the "right" reasons that they were not terrorists.

I am doing an essay in a class of mine right now about whether or not the Sons of Liberty are terrorists. After reading this it sort of made things a bit more clear. Thank you.

This image, while not the one I would have chosen, is a powerful image. The original image that brought the world to its knees was a poignant reminder of how fragile the human life is. It was also a reminder of how beautiful things were after 9/11. Patriotism was at an all time high and on every street, every house, every business, every shirt lapel and on every car bumper was a reminder that this was America and we would NOT be held down. The more famous image of the Falling Man, with its lines and simplicity, was a beautiful image. Just that one frame, in its stillness and peacefulness, to me, has become an anthem to which I can say that the people who suffered so horribly and for so long are finally at peace, as that picture frame appears to show. Perhaps I don’t care for the image above as much as the other because it proves to me that the Falling Man was not an angel as my mind sees him, racing to save a soul but in fact a regular victim of the attacks and suffering himself. Who ever he is, God bless you and what you have come to symbolize
